Terms & Conditions
By booking services with Lucky 8 Moving, the customer acknowledges and agrees to these Terms and Conditions.
1. Services Provided
Lucky 8 Moving provides residential and commercial moving services, including loading, unloading, packing, unpacking, furniture assembly/disassembly, and transportation of household or business items. Services are limited to those agreed upon at the time of booking.
2. Estimates & Pricing
- All estimates are based on the information provided by the customer.
- Final pricing may change if additional items, labor, stairs, long carries, oversized items, or extra services are required.
- Hourly rates begin upon arrival and end after completion of the move.
- Minimum service charges may apply.
- Fuel fees, travel fees, tolls, and packing material costs may be added when applicable.
3. Deposits & Payments
- A deposit of $125 is required to secure your move date and time.
- All deposits are FINAL.
- Payments are due immediately upon completion of services unless otherwise agreed in writing.
- Accepted payment methods include cash, debit/credit cards, Cash App, Zelle, or other approved payment methods.
- Returned checks or chargebacks may result in additional fees.
4. Cancellation & Rescheduling
- Cancellations made less than 24 hours before the scheduled move may result in loss of deposit.
- Rescheduling requests are subject to availability.
- Lucky 8 Moving reserves the right to reschedule due to weather, safety concerns, vehicle issues, or unforeseen circumstances.
5. Customer Responsibilities
- Providing accurate move details and addresses.
- Ensuring pathways, elevators, and entrances are accessible.
- Properly packing fragile or valuable items unless packing services are purchased.
- Disconnecting appliances and electronics prior to the move unless otherwise agreed.
- Removing or securing pets during moving services.
6. Restricted Items
Lucky 8 Moving will not transport hazardous materials, firearms or explosives, illegal substances, perishable foods, or cash, jewelry, or irreplaceable valuables. Customers transport these items at their own risk.
7. Damage & Liability
- Lucky 8 Moving handles belongings with care; however, minor scratches, dents, or damages may occur during transport.
- Claims for damages must be reported within 48 hours of service completion.
- Lucky 8 Moving is not responsible for damages caused by improper packing by customer, pre-existing damage, particle board or cheaply assembled furniture, items not packed securely, or natural disasters / unforeseen road conditions.
- Liability is limited to the extent permitted by applicable law unless additional valuation coverage is purchased.
8. Delays
Lucky 8 Moving is not liable for delays caused by traffic, weather, road closures, building restrictions, elevator delays, or customer readiness. Estimated arrival and completion times are not guaranteed.
9. Refusal of Service
Lucky 8 Moving reserves the right to refuse or stop service if conditions are unsafe, customers behave abusively or aggressively, illegal activity is suspected, or payment cannot be verified.
10. Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by the laws of the State of Florida.
Deposit Policy
To secure your scheduled moving date and time, Lucky 8 Moving requires a deposit before services are confirmed.
Requirements
- A non-refundable $125 deposit is required for all bookings.
- Deposit amounts may vary depending on the size, distance, and scope of the move.
- Your move date is not guaranteed until the deposit has been received and confirmed.
Payment Methods
Deposits may be paid using Credit/Debit Card, Cash App, Zelle, Apple Pay, or Cash (if approved).
Cancellation Policy
- Deposits are non-refundable if the move is canceled within 24 hours of the scheduled move date.
- Cancellations made more than 24 hours in advance may qualify for a one-time reschedule credit at management's discretion.
Rescheduling & No-Shows
- Customers may reschedule one time without losing their deposit if notice is given at least 24 hours before the scheduled move.
- Additional rescheduling requests may require a new deposit.
- If the customer is unavailable, inaccessible, or unprepared at the scheduled time, the deposit may be forfeited and additional charges may apply.
Application of Deposit
Deposits will be applied toward the final moving balance unless otherwise stated.
Payments
Payment Due
Payment is due in full immediately upon completion of moving services unless otherwise agreed in writing by Lucky 8 Moving.
Accepted Payment Methods
Cash · Credit/Debit Cards · Cash App · Zelle · Apple Pay · other approved electronic payments.
Additional Charges
Additional fees may apply for stairs, long carries, heavy or oversized items, extra stops, packing materials, last-minute changes, or waiting time caused by customer delays. Customers will be informed of applicable charges when possible.
Late Payments
Failure to make payment upon completion of services may result in late fees, collection actions, legal action, and additional recovery costs (including attorney fees where permitted by law).
Hourly Billing
- Billing begins when movers arrive at the pickup location.
- Billing ends after unloading is completed and equipment is packed away.
- Time is rounded according to company policy.
Invoice Terms
Full payment is due immediately upon completion of moving services unless otherwise agreed in writing. Any deposit previously paid will be credited toward the final invoice balance. Invoices not paid on the day of service may be subject to late fees, collection costs, legal action, and attorney fees where permitted by law. Any claims for damages must be submitted within 48 hours of move completion. By signing this invoice, the customer confirms services were completed as agreed, all charges are accurate, and they agree to the payment terms and company policies.
Quote Terms
Non-Binding Estimate
All quotes provided by Lucky 8 Moving are estimates based on the information provided by the customer at the time of booking. Final pricing may change depending on actual services performed.
Pricing Adjustments
Quotes may increase due to additional items not listed, extra labor or movers required, stairs or long carrying distances, heavy or oversized items, delays caused by customer readiness, packing or unpacking services, or additional stops or changes to locations.
Accuracy of Information
Customers are responsible for providing accurate details regarding inventory size, access conditions, addresses, special handling items, and move dates and times. Inaccurate information may result in revised pricing.
Scheduling & Approval
Quoted dates and times are subject to availability and are not guaranteed until confirmed by Lucky 8 Moving. By accepting the quote, the customer agrees to Lucky 8 Moving's pricing, policies, and terms of service.
